Dear Friends,
Jupiter has been in Gemini for a year. Jupiter will be leaving Gemini on June 25th. Jupiter expands, educates, and sometimes exaggerates. It has been doing this to the Gemini area of your chart. Jupiter takes 12 years to go through all 12 signs spending a year in each sign. We have had the opportunity to learn more about the tools of communication. We have learned more about our neighbors and our neighborhood. Maybe you have new neighbors or there have been changes in your community. Even the Mall is the modern neighborhood. Just as Jupiter is finishing its stay in Gemini, we get a New Moon in Gemini to concentrate the focus for the next 30 days. We will notice during this lunation how much our attitude has expanded and changed over the last year. The other piece of information is that once a year the Sun will join each Planet to begin a yearly cycle. The last time the Sun joined Jupiter was a year ago and Jupiter was at 23 degrees Taurus. That has been playing out this year even though shortly after the cycle started Jupiter moved into Gemini on June 11th, 2012. This year the Sun will join Jupiter on June 19th at 28 degrees of Gemini and start a year cycle expanding your life where 28 degrees Gemini is in your chart. A week later Jupiter will move on into Cancer but we will continue to enjoy the benefits of Jupiter in Gemini until the Sun catches up with Jupiter next year. Optimism and a good attitude is very helpful in this time of restructuring our lives with the Uranus/Pluto square and Saturn in Scorpio. A good attitude and willingness to do what needs to be done is a good mantra. "I am willing!" "Show Me!"
A New Moon will occur on June 8th, 2013 at 11:56 am EDT at 18 degrees Gemini 01 minute. It is time to learn and make new connections. Gemini is clever and can multi task very easily. This New Moon will be emphasizing those qualities and that part of your chart where Gemini is located. Mercury, the ruler of this New Moon, is in the sign Cancer keeping company with Venus. This brings the focus of interest and curiosity to home, family, and security. Venus and Mercury form a grand trine in water signs with Neptune in Pisces and Saturn in Scorpio. This is a beautiful flow of emotional energy that brings experiences we will always remember. This is a good time to create memorable events for the family. Get in touch with your roots. Mercury in Cancer is also square to Uranus in Aries bringing lightening quick ideas and a change in consciousness. Have a good attitude and move with the energy. Mars, the Planet of action, is in Gemini and it is square to Neptune. There is some lack of boundaries or dissipation of energy. It is time to have fun and gather together and enjoy. Lots of communication and fun had by all! With Neptune you can have a trip into fantasy land. Just remember what the boundaries are.
This New Moon is taking place in the Libra section of Gemini. This is called a decanate. Our relationship with others is this sign’s greatest concern. Beauty, balance, harmony, equality, and justice are important where this is in your chart. This is the partnership or marriage sign of the zodiac. This New Moon will let us know where we need to bring things into balance. What about relationships? Are we being fair? Is this area one-sided? All lessons of Libra involve the realization and integration of opposites, particularly those contrasts found within personal relationships. The primary purpose of this sign is one of sharing—sharing ideas, sharing experiences, sharing your life—with others. The house that Libra is on in your chart is where you need to develop a balance between what you want and respect for what others want. Libra shows where you need relationships, which offer feedback. Venus, the ruler of Libra, is in Cancer now focusing our attention on our homes, roots and family.
The 30 degrees of a sign is divided by 12 and you get 2 ½ degree sections called dwads. The degree of this New Moon is in the Capricorn dwad of Gemini. This is the sign of social responsibility. This is where you build your foundation in the outside world. Its house describes where you are territory-conscious, where you need to feel secure. Here is where you need respect, recognition, and approval. The responsibilities and limitations encountered in this area of your life involve finding a responsible place and establishing security. The challenge for this house in your chart is perseverance and hard work. While things may not come easily here, efforts will be rewarded, if your energies are channeled constructively. Patience is necessary. Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn and it is currently in Scorpio.
Saturn in Scorpio requires deep commitment to what you want to accomplish. Scorpio is a sign that is all or nothing. Saturn is a co-ruler of this lunation so we need to pay attention to what it is asking. Whether it is the ruler of a lunation or not it always rules. Saturn is what has to be done during a period of time. Saturn went into Scorpio on October 5th, 2012 where it will do its work until September 2015. The last time Saturn was in Scorpio was 1983 to 1986. Look how far you have come. Saturn shows you what requires discipline and a deep commitment to move forward in a way that matches what you have grown to be. It is time to clean some things up that are obligations of the past that are in the way of moving forward. Pluto is in Capricorn in mutual reception with Saturn in Scorpio. There is cooperation if what you are bringing to the table is sincere. It is time to do things that are for the greater good of all. Saturn requires that the work is done. Saturn always gives us what we want if we are willing to do what it takes to make it happen. It is time to show up.
THE SABIAN SYMBOL: A LARGE ARCHAIC VOULUME.
This is a symbol of the ultimate indestructibility of experience, so that any path once traversed may be taken again with a greater ease and a broader self-discovery. There is here the assurance of illimitable resources in wisdom, and the suggestion that this heritage may be made manifest at any time in an immediate and practical guidance. The past always provides an illumination of the present, and man achieves best as he cultures a real sense of obligation to his own roots. The keyword is BACKGROUND. When positive, the degree is a special capacity for the recovery of prior advantages or the effective disentanglement of present involvements, and when negative, a slavish worship of tradition and authority.
